Lisa Naples is a studio potter who lives and works in her old farmhouse and barn/studio in Bucks Co. PA In 2005 she was awarded the NCECA residency at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. She earned her MFA in 1988 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, NS. She has been featured in numerous publications including Studio Potter and Better Homes and Gardens Decorating magazines.

Although she has shown her work extensively over the years around the country, her focus has become increasingly local. While raising young children, she’s established an “Open Studio” from her barn 1-2 times a year. She also keeps her web site (www.LisaNaples.com) up to date with all available work as well as current information on workshops and exhibitions.

"This body of work is hand made using the techniques of throwing, slab building and pinching. I’ve developed and use a red clay that is very beautiful and strong. All of the surfaces are hand painted with studio made colored slips. I encourage people to put this work into use. It’s dishwasher safe and 100% functional."
